The Best of Aussie YA - Wrap Up

in case you missed it:

I so loved hearing from everyone what Aussie YA books they love, hey. Hope you guys did too. Here's a visual of all the books featured in this series ~ all the recommendations on one funky inspirational post :)

Thank you SO much to all my guest posters ~ and all my enthusiastic commenters. I love how you guys get just as pumped about Aussie YA as me :)

And, hey, the rest of this post is just one long scroll of awesomeness ;)

Also, a couple of people were asking where to buy Aussie YA internationally. Honestly, it's tough. I do know The Book Depository only stocks some titles ~ in case you were interested I made a list of what titles they stock that were mentioned in this series.

A couple more asked where to start with Jaclyn Moriarty. I always recommend either: Finding Cassie Crazy (also published as The Year of Secret Assignments) OR Feeling Sorry for Celia

Will announce two winners of the Aussie YA give-away tomorrow. You can still enter here. All titles in the give-away are from books featured in this series

ALSO the ever-so-lovely Chachic just brought Better World Books to my attention. Another book shop with FREE international postage. They also stock second hand titles ~ which is BRILLIANT as you can get older and out of print titles, sometimes at a bargain price. I haven't spent much time dawdling around on there, but it could have some Aussie gems and might be worth checking out :) (I already found an out of print New Zealand YA book I have been desperate to get my hands on...)

Peace out,

Nomes xo

  6. Certainly a lot there to be going on with. I'll have to check some of them out once Christmas and the usual poverty-stricken January are out of the way. Happy Christmas and have a great new year, from a subzero south of England!
